Domenico Schingaro, better known as Domingo, was born in Bari in 1980, his father a fisher and his mother a housewife. In 1999, after getting his hospitality training, he starts working at “Le Terrazze”, the restaurant of Grosvenor House le Meridien in London. After a number of work experiences in Europe, he’s back to Italy at the historical “Antico Buoi Rossi” restaurant in Alessandria. He ends up co-managing it with Andrea Ribaldone, who in 2014 launches his own “I Due Buoi” restaurant, which is awarded a Michelin star in 2015. In the same year, Schingaro becomes Resident Chef alongside Andrea Ribaldone at Milan Expo’s “Identità Expo San Pellegrino” restaurant, in collaboration with Magenta Bureau. Since January 2016, he’s been working as an Executive Chef at Borgo Egnazia, in Savelletri di Fasano, under the direction of coach Andrea Ribaldone.
